The first trailer for The Color Purple has officially dropped—and it looks amazing. A lot of greatness is interceded into the two-minute video: our first looks at Halle Bailey as young Nettie, Phylicia Pearl Mpasi as young Celie, Colman Domingo as Mister, Corey Hawkins as Harpo Johnson and Fantasia as adult Celie, Danielle Brooks as Sofia, and Taraji P. Henson as Shug Avery. That’s not to mention the simply glorious costumes, settings, and singing throughout the entire trailer. We couldn’t be more excited—watch the full trailer below.
